Productions Onishka is a finalist for the Grand prix du Conseil des Arts de Montréal. Since 1985, the Conseil des arts de Montréal has awarded its annual Grand Prix to organizations that have made an outstanding contribution to the artistic vitality of Montreal. The unveiling will take place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on April 6, 2023 at noon.
The Grand Prize includes a $30,000 grant and an original work of art, specially created for the winning organization in the following year by a Montreal artist. Since 2018, a Jury Prize, with a $10,000 grant, is also offered by the Caisse Desjardins de la Culture. The public is also invited to vote for the $10,000 People’s Choice Award presented by Télé-Québec. Each Grand Prize finalist receives a $5,000 grant thanks to the generosity of patrons.
